Very sad but not entirely unexpected. FWIW We felt nothing at all down here in eastern Crete.

People don't seem to remember that in a tsunami, the sea usually goes OUT first before it comes in with a big rush. There is a temptation to stay around adjusting lines etc as the water-level drops, but this is very dangerous. A friend of mine was killed in Samoa making this mistake, and there is someone in the videos doing exactly the same thing.

Aftershocks still continuing. Four more quakes over 4 on the Richter scale within the last hour.
