EA compliance team visit to check for licences

We came through on Tuesday. Very gusty winds and as we passed the EA patrol launch by Temple island, one of the men in black held up a slow down bat. 3.1 on the log, 3.6 gps. He did give a thumbs up. Then as we were passing the EA tent area a slipper launch with the most enormous HRR flag on the stern raced past between us and the moored boats. Loads of room to do it properly. I will admit to casting nasturtiums on his parentage.

The EA had an enforcement team embarked on Seven Springs (their Mitchell patrol boat) at HRR.

Dressed in black shirts and trousers, looking more like police than harbour masters, they were cruising up and down entering boat names into electronic devices.

Seven Springs did not reply to at least one call I heard on VHF 74 (the nominated channel for HRR), nor did they do anything about the people doing U turns in the navigation channel . Yet there they were spending our money. The EA really have lost the plot.
Just out putting stickers on boats PR bulldust
