DuoProp sizes - advice please

Hello all.

I'm repowering my boat (23 ft Carver Montego 2157) with a rebuilt AQ260A with a Volvo 280 duoprop conversion stendrive.

Steel developments have "sized me up" recommending a B3 or B4 set of props.

Can anyone advise on the merits of each?

I dropped two prop sizes on my DPE and used the Volvo Prop guide to get to that.

Also, Mercury has a nice prop selector tool which might help.

Just take the measurements of the mercury prop it recommends and find the same size volvo prop, using the Volvo sheet.

Hope that makes sense. One thing you could ask the prop supplier is could they send you a set, try them out, if they dont work will they exchange for another set.

Finding the right prop seems to be an art, so it is trial and error to a certain extent.
