Are there any Dufour owners association members on this site? Just need to ask if it's worth joining and paying for a yearly subscription when there is so much great information and help on this free site.
I am Chairman of the Dufour Association and also use this forum.
I see value in both sufficiently and in different ways that I and others give up time with the other members of the Dufour Association to make it worthwhile.
Your choice.
Haulyfrn,
I would echo Bob's post. I am a Dufour owner and association member. I am based in Scotland, so unfortunately out of reach of the social gatherings. I would recommend joining - to at least be able to partake in the active on-line technical forum. There are many members with very good advice. I think it is only around £10 a year, so don't be mean!

We're french owners of Dufour 34 (the last version 2003 to 2011 only) and we have made a Facebook group about our favoit boat.
We have some owners from France, Belgium and Norway.
Sorry that I missed this thread first time around. I must have been out sailing at the time.
I, too, am a member of the Dufour Owners Association. Indeed have been since 2005 when I bought Angele.
In my view, the quarterly magazine is worth the £12.50 annual membership by itself. The fact that, through the association's website forum or its Facebook group, you have access to other owners of similar/identical boats to ask technical questions is a bonus. But, best of all, if you are located in the UK (or CI/Northern France) then membership of the Owners Association enables you to attend the rallies - typically half a dozen or so a year and very enjoyable. All that for the price of a couple of beers or a bottle of wine.
