Can we share the secret then, Jim. We'll be at Bridgemarsh over the weekend, and will make sure there's pourboire available!

We dried out alongside one of the pontoons at Bridgemarsh a few weeks ago, but that only works on an exceptionally low tide, so a tip for a better place would be useful.

Just awaiting the arrival of Mr Moody Sabre who I believe has the story!

But then again I am not the worlds best at scrubbing posts - Feb 05 - Brightlingsea - very weedy depth sounder and attempting to go to posts just after HW.

Oh, you have no idea how good that makes me feel!

Last year my darling went the same way after I neglected to adjust the lines (through too much sherbet) and a back eddy took the keel away TOWARDS the posts.

We woke - at 4am to a lurch to starboard when it should have been a gentle shift to port.

Very, very embarrassing.
