It may be old news to some, but I just read this week that Windy are going to resurrect the Draco brand again. They were part of the same company but when the economy took a downturn back in the early 90's in Norway, they decided to drop one of the brands. But now Windy are going to relaunch the brand with 3 new models next year a 22,25 and 28ft, They will be built in Poland as are most Windys now, so as a Draco owner I look forward to seeing if they can maintain the good reputation these boats had in Norway and Europe.

The thinking is to get people into the Windy brand at entry level and hopefully later they will upgrade to a Windy.

I have great memories of my Draco Topaz which was a 1994 boat with a 350 mercruiser magnum. Bought it when it was 3 years old like new, ran up on Windermere , towed it to loch lomand , isle of man ,and north Wales . Fantastic build quality and a great sea boat .
I am a bit of a scando boat fan having had a storebro, a windy Ghibli, and currently a Khamsin.

Cheers

Yes, they will replace the oceancraft models, which were nice but way too expensive. They are planning to be very competitive with the Draco's, so I'm told.

Would be interested in seeing how these compare price wise to some of the American brands like Sea Ray for a 28 footer. Any ideas what the three models will likely retail for in the UK for a typical specification? Will you be at Southampton?
