Is it the centre hole of the needle jet that's blocked- where the needle goes? or the little holes in the sides?

I've unblocked hundreds of m/cycle jets ( even teensy pilots) by carefully choosing a suitably sized strand of soft copper wire & twisting & poking about. never any probs with making the hole too big, the wire doesn't seem to be as hard as the brass jets.

It's the float needle corroded with salt.
The engine went under at the end of last season, i got it running, then laid it up for the winter,"big mistake"

Dish washer is no good, the tablets are 50% salt!! You need to soak in fresh water, try boiling the bugger!
