here's a quote from the AKC Gazette, December 2001 vol, regarding the Schipperke breed (which i promoted as a good boat dog in a previous post):
He's dark and shining, small and powerful. He seems always to be moving...he radiates energy even in repose. He has no frills because he needs no frills. He's intense, but with a worldly charm that recalls his European roots. If he were a car, he'd be a black Mercedes convertible. If he were a drink, he'd be expresso. If he were an actor, he'd be Pacino. But he's a dog, and so he's a Schipperke.
