Does PBO go back yo basics?

Over the years I have been a reader of many magazines, computer, gardening and car mechanics. In all cases the mags have eventually run articles that go back to basics.

Having just decided to move into the world of "BIG" boat sailing i am wondering if PBO runs articles targeted at the novice as well as the more experienced.

I don't mean "how to sail", but maintainance type stuff.

And before anyone starts to panic I have enrolled on an RYA theory course over the winter

There are some good come-in-hand booklets given away with the mag from time to time, some good articles on both techniques and fixing-it stuff, but the only way to tell if it is for you is to try it - if PBO does not do it for you , then try Yachting Monthly. These web sites give you a reasonable idea of the difference between these 2, mainly a question of style.
