Does anyone know what boat this is

Hi everyone. I've recently purchased a 17ft cabin boat. Unfortunately I do not know what make it is. I've been searching all over the Internet but I've come up empty. Can anyone figure out what I own?

Definitely not Shetland but a very good looking boat for it's size. Spend a few bob and do a proper job and you'll have something to be proud of.

Looks like a Picton Mardisgras 180. Had Picton speed boats quite innovative in their time and strong build. Presume they popped a cruiser deck and liner into one of their existing hulls. If so should handle well.

There are Shetland, invader and piton boats that look a bit like this, but is not actually any of them, unless seriously modified at some point. There were lots of small builders of GRP boats like this in the 70s, some only produced one or two boats before going under. It will probably be something obscure. It looks like the makers plate was above the helm on the bulkhead.

Don't worry too much about make, the makers won't be around to help you anyway. Just do it up and enjoy, looks like a nice little boat.

Defo not a Shetland. There is a similar picton but windows are different fiesta or something.

Looks quite like a Corsair made in the 70s by a company in Farnborough Hants. 17 ft used to be quite a few that went to Langstone harbour watersking in the 70s and early 80s Cant remember the manufacturers name. Somebody Plastics I think.
