Don't know about remote but my old tiller pilots, 1000 & 2000 had that type of plug.

Proprietary Raymarine Seatalk power and data socket: if outside, it is for your auto pilot to plug into and, if inside, (as above) likely for a hand held wired remote (ST600R).

If you aren't going to use it, they are worth more money than you might imagine.

Thanks for the replies. I have a Raymarine system, this socket is inside the cabin, I do not have a remote or other device that fits it.
