If so, any little stories?

Small one. Our local 'Buddy' (also related to me) once was preparing for a nice North Sea trip. Making sure everything was tip-top in order, also adding portable equipment from other Buddies who were participating in the trip.
One of these items happened to be a spare VHF horn. Buddy has a lovely Shipmate VHF (with external horn) and one of those rare module C DSC systems. The borrowed horn was from a set without a DSC module.

While performing a functional test on the spare horn, Buddy was kind enough to explain that this horn had a black button, were his horn was profided with a nice shiny red one, reading SOS. This procedure included 3 short presses by Buddy....

The said VHF set went straight to CH16 and we heard the CG station calling Buddy's vessel, demanding more details to his Mayday call....

Naturally we had to run, so our laughter didn't intefer with Buddy's serious conversation.....

'When Buddy starts a quest for something that is inside the back of the truck, people grab lounge chairs and cold drinks and sit down to watch. The visual calculation comparing the size of the truck and amount of stuff that comes out of it is impossible to comprehend.'

Very reminiscent of a certain H1, late of the Mobo forum./forums/images/icons/wink.gif
