Suggestions for diy, effective ‘bags’ in which to store cheap folding bikes in whilst onboard please?

Agree, you can get proper zip round bags for about £20 -25 on Amazon or Ebay which do the job properly, hardly worth trying a substitute which will be harder to handle in and out of the locker, offer no protection and only survive a couple of years. The ones we use (5 or so years so far) are heavy acrylic canvas and have a storage pocket on the side which they can be folded into when empty.

Bikes have lots of sharp edges which will damage the boat if not properly covered. Cheapo approach could be expensive
