We used to put them in model airplanes ... some even used Hasselblads !! In fact I think there are still pro companys about that do urban / rural aerial phot's from model airplanes ...

With todays digital cam's - I would say that it's even easier now ... and cheaper ...

Why not use a simple gas ballon on a wind free day?

We used to, routinely, out £100000 worth of camara in an uncontrolled "thing" and loose about three a year!

I was thinking that might be the photo wanted.Then a kites a good idea.
Still some time ago i was given a very large balloon then used by a met office (about 3 foot accros) that would climb in a breeze.
What about a model R100 with a modern small inexpensive electric model plane engin,they have enough power for 20mins longer costs far more.
