Diving cetres all along the south coast from Dover to Penzance! Prett long castline to cover. Are you thinking of a particular area?

Dorset good, Weymouth/Portland good. Devon Cornwall good. Back of IoW not bad but longer boat trips to get to.

Solent crap, Sussex crap, not sure about further east.

Try googling dive centre Dorset, Devon Cornwall.

As a very rough rule of thumb, the diving gets better the further west you go, particlulary once you reach Dorset. If you're planning a trip, there are lots of very good books detailing the best dive spots, and I think they now have GPS co-ordinates in the latest editions.

There is very good diving off the Sussex coast agree It gets better the further West you are, from Selsy Bill up to Beachy Head there are good reef/foul ground areas for flatty bashing and plenty of well explored wrecks, Little Hampton, Brighton & New Heaven are the main charter areas.
Vis is variable and exposed coasts do restrict some of the areas, but that's Diving.

we are planning to do a diving trip from Belgium to UK southcoast with our own boats this summer, and stay there for a week.
looking at some on line pictures it is worth the trip, especially the far west as sugested on here.
