Good catch of the day! Did you sell the lobster traps to pay for the haulout?

Someone told me that bulb keels are more prone to this sort of thing, and seeing how that rope is wrapped around I can see why that might be true. It might've just slid off a fin keel in deeper water, but no chance of that with the bulb being larger than the rest.

Was thinking about offering this as a friendly service here on the east coast. Used to do mine regularly and it does save a lot of trouble. I'm can do 18m but obviously a boat is only 1-3m.

I have the Maplin underwater video camera, which is brilliant for this sort of thing. Just tape the camera to a curved or straight pole and I can see everything underwater on the colour monitor. Was a present but about £115 I think. Good for up to 25m deep, and has led illumination, gel battery, and a carrying case.

Agreed. Two coats of Shogun applied in April. It didn't really need the wash-off included with the lift.

One miserable looking crab and a whelk. There was no bait in the pots. They've probably been down there some time.

Fraid not - the Yard lads dragged them over to the skip.

I think they are in fact whelk pots seem to be very popular at the moment, I have heard the French are very keen on Whelks we apparently export loads of them. Probably more now as the £ is so cheap
