Any recommendation on an electric air pump for a dinghy?
+1 mine must be nearly 20 years old and still good although only gets used occasionally. Quick, if a bit noisy, and unlike many other electric pumps, you do not need to finish off with a manual pump to reach the required pressure.Rule LVM ID-20 High-Speed Inflator Deflator Air Pump 12v
Worked well for me.
Can you post a link please. The only one I can find is for vehicle tyres which would not be suitable. If you use dewalt 18v power tools they make a 18volt inflator ,no wires.
The Rule pump pressure is just right. My inflatables, different makes, both say max pressure is 3psi so with the Rule you cannot damage them, no cutoff pressure to set or to go wrong! I find the 2.6psi to be just right. That Rule only goes up to 2.6 psi - depending on what you need to inflate, is that enough? I find SUP pumps better - I have this and it’s super fast and will go to 16 psi so getting a SUP to 8 is only a 2 min job (if that) - you can set cut off pressure too (useful as it hits target so fast over pressure could happen)

Thanks, wireless is certainly an advantage, but that would take way too long. According to the spec max flow rate only 15 litres per minute. How long does it take on your dinghy? It’s model DCO18 does both tyres and dingy
A good connector for high current is the 50A Anderson connector 6331G1 | Anderson Power Products, SB50 Series 2 Way Battery Connector, 50A, 600 V | RS The plug and the socket are identical. Not waterproof so ideally mounted in a locker but they are very corrosion resistant and robust. We also have a Rule pump which is great providing you can connect directly to a battery, unless anyone knows of a suitable plug/socket?
