Dinghy at Pin Mill

Friday night Saturday morning whilst staying overnight on the boat we woke up to find no dinghy attached to our stern..😳. Firstly Thankyou to the kind person who found it floating free and attached it to a spare mooring, so we were able to retrieve it fairly easily once we had spotted it. Secondly on examination it had not come untied, or the rope worn through, but the rubber attachment on the dinghy had been torn through! Yikes, I thought how did that happen? Then I remembered that I have in the past had a seal visit my dinghy for an overnight stop, and realised that if he put all his weight on the corner of the dinghy where it was attached to the boat that could easily rip the painter out.IMG_0203.jpeg

So Sammy is still at it at Pin Mill - quite a common occurrence I believe. He looks a bit sheepish in your picture I think, more contented here.
