£750 plus VAT for a Wallas two burner diesel hob. It's actually a single burner but it has a ceramic hotplate with room for two pots.
I have to replace my very old Vanessa and want to get rid of gas anyway.
Is it worth it?It's a lot of dosh but I'm tempted.

we have a wallas diesel hob and oven on board our rival which we purchased at the
boat show this year it has performed better that we expected,it's also a comfort to know that the yacht is now completely free from any gas supply

We have just installed the hob and oven on our Maxi 120, which we live on. We had a few teethings problems at the very beginning, but now love it. In sorting out the problems both Bare Marine who installed it and Karunda who import them to UK were very helpful.

It is a different way of cooking - eg it takes longer to heat but it's great to use. Like the other post, we are very happy to have no gas on the boat, which was a primary reason for the switch. (In our case we also have very few deck lockers and it has released a large one for key safety gear.)

They are not cheap at all, but we are very happy with ours. I don't know if we would have spent so much if not living aboard and only weekend cruising.
