Diesel fuel additive?

Thanks, alant.

Not sure £13 to treat 250 litres qualifies as less expensive. £9-worth (on-line price) of Marine 16 treats 2000 litres, making it roughly one-tenth the price.

Price aside, Halfords might sell more if they didn't describe is as a lead-replacement petrol treatment.

Well, the one they were selling in Force 4, was £35.

Perhaps it was a negative offer day. Can't find anything on their website at that price. The nearest seems to be 500ml of Startron, at £34, or less than 2p per litre of treated diesel. The figure for Wynn's is 5p per treated litre. Force4's small bottle of Marine 16 works out at 0.5p per treated litre and is marginally cheaper than buying direct from the maker.

I think that so far chandlers are well ahead on points ;)

Soltron works by an enzyme dissolving water and bug and burning it?
I don't want crud or water dissolved or not going anywhere near my fuel injection system, mucho expensivo if it happens..

Cars and trucks hardly ever use a bug killer as they use one or more tanks a week, boats sit for 6 months with the same fuel.

Biocide, inspection of your filters and remove water from tank and filters.

I use Grotamar 82 a Biocide
