Deleting MMSI from Raymarine VHF

I have a VHF (Ray54E) that I would like to sell as I have upgraded to one with a Command Mic but want to clear the MMSI before selling it.

Are there any alternatives to sending it back to Raymarine to have this done. I have asked local dealers who say it has to be returned to Raymarine.

In a previous post you wrote you had downloaded all the files from the Raymarine site when it was still open. The SW was right there!

For ICOM marine radios you might buy a cloning software.
But for Raymarine I have never seen.
Anyhow, the software will cost more than sending the radio.

If you read all the previous messages you may realize that, although almost, this is not totally correct.

Turn on the radio while pressing and holding the SCAN/MEM and 16/9 keys simultaneously until you hear a beep and see "CL" on the display.

I'm not saying it works but I believe it may.
