Hi all you nowlegable ones, out there, does anyone know if you can mount an eiberspacher deisel heater on itside instead of going straight down like on a lorry floor. the reason i ask, is i cant find anywhere to mount the thing the right way, but i have put it on a fireproof bulkhead, on its side, it does seem to work ok without anything horrible happening, i do recomend these things they are super , anyway i wont bore the tears off of you all .but iwould appreciate, any comments regarding this way of mounting cheers all in antisipatoin....

on my Co32 i made a fixed right angled bracket bonded to the deck Hd in the lazerettethe heater was affixed to this by wing nuts from a similar bracket fixed to the heater.
made removal very easy, as u didnt even need to see what u were doing, just by feel.
the main reason for moving the heather was that it was "Yard" fitted & placed in the easiest access for the fitter / engineer. it took up a goodly part of a locker

The eberspachers can be mounted on their sides provided the glow plug is still uppermost but.............. your unit will be lucky to see out a couple of seasons due to damp and internal corrosion as a result of the combustion air inlet no longer acting as a drain when the unit is off. mount it the proper way - make up an "L" bracket to hold it.
