Hi everyone,

After realizing that it would not be at all practical to tow the boat I was looking at (Shark24), I have narrowed my options down to the old Dehler Varianta 65 and... well... nothing else.

The requirements were/are for it to be a trailer-sailer and offer the greatest possible degree of comfort that a small boat can give, so that wife and daughter continue enjoying sailing, after a very successful last season. (wife being the one suggesting we needed a slightly bigger boat :o )

But... since I have a very modest car and a trailer that can only pull 1300kg (that being boat and trailer, so roughly only 1000Kg of boat) my options are truly limited.

I have never sailed one of these, so if you have any suggestions, first hand experience, things to look out for when inspecting the boat or even any other boat suggestion that falls on the 700/800/900Kg displacement, I´d love to hear them, so please advise.

Thank you,
Cookie Jar
