Deer on the Dart

Just returned from the dog's morning visit to the beach this morning and surprised to see a deer swimming from the far (East)nside of the Dart to land on the same beach. I've heard of deer doing this but not seen one before. We're moored half a mile down from Anchor Stone for those that know the area.

That's why I encourage my dog to swim after "visiting " the shore there, for 2 Ps. Both sides are full of ticks.

A few years ago coming into Portsmouth VHF Ch11 was alive with harbour patrol and police boats follow a swimming deer. The animal went ashore at Royal Clarence Marina and harbour patrol asked if they should go ashore to follow it. QHM replied, "Negative. Bambi is out of the water and not our problem."
