At every boat show I go to there is a company advertising the refurbishment of hatches, now I need them I can't find them. Does any body have a contact number or email for these companies?

Thaks but I don't think it is them, I have 2 Lewmar hatches to replace or repair, 500x500 and 420x500, Lewmar are the only ones that make the smaller hatch and you all know the price there. The company I am looking for I think only repaired not manufactured.

See above...

At the top of the page, there's a link to "London show - search post visit". Go to this, then put "hatches" into the "Category search" box, and you'll get a list of firms at the show who had anything to do with hatches. Presumably the people you're thinking of are in this list.

You could try Seaglaze too - I think I got a quote from them once. In the end I decided to DIY it as by the time carriage there and back was added in it came to over 1/2 the cost of a new hatch. In fact, I've just done one today - it's curing on the kitchen table as I type..

An afterthought; it is a bit late to have hatches repaired if you plan to sail in say March. If its an edge leak between the perspex and the alloy frame it is now possible to buy two inch wide transparent "anti-slip" self adhesive tape which, applied around the edge, looks quite good, stops you slipping and (in my case) seals the leak too! It is quite expensive, 3 metres cost about £12, but better than the current £150 to £190 being asked for replacing the plastic etc.
