Hi there, I am refurbing a shetland 535. I am onto the deck and not sure how to finish it. Basically theres two sheets of 18mm play that makes the floor. previously there was carpet that I have since ripped up and binned. I have previously used this rubber garage matting in the back of my campervan and thought this would be a good option for the boat. My question is, if i were to install the rubber matting would i seal the edges, essentially tanking the floor or not seal and let sea water escape into the bilge for pumping out? I am a boat noob and not sure how the floor should be constructed. Any help would be awesome
