My teak deck has keaked since I owned my boat I have periodicaly recaulked repayed, and generally done everything possible to stop it but the normal problem you mend one leak another appears. I regularly wet the deck with bucket of sea water, but tit still leaked,

Having been to the boat regularly over thle last few weeks the leeks have now stopped and everything is dry,

I love this rain !!!!!!!!!

When away from my boat I used to put straw on deck and liberally sprinkle salt (bought for industrial dishwashers at the C&C), on deck. I also fitted salt tables with salt lick blocks (from the agricultural stores)between the ribs. It could then rain all it liked and the fresh water would turn saline. Also the straw discouraged the deck drying out!

Clearly not a solution if you are using it every few days but great if away for an extended period in the "summer".
