Thanks rafiki I looked at flippers but wasn't overly keen, there's a finnmaster 7600 in Edinburgh I was going to hopefully see at the weekend with the Volvo d4 for 45k. Is there any other brands you recommend looking at along those lines? Many thanks

Did you look at the Botnia? Hugely respected boats. Best thing is to keep Googling and see what comes up. Go and look at a few, and get a feel for what you like.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. We have jumped in and bought the finnmaster 7600 2007/2008 with D3 diesel and 2 year old trailer. Was local which made everything nice and easy.

How were the team at Bosuns? I miss having such a good chandlers close by. It was one of the few advantages of boatin in Edinburgh when we were there?

PS I think you have a D4-225 engine if the photos are right.

I never purchased it from bosuns, although did go see the one you are referring to, was actually disappointing went to view it and they knew very little information about it. Purchased from mayles watersports on Loch Lomond fantastic guy and the second boat I have bought from him.
