Many thanks, comparing your pictures of before and after the buoys were moved......... before on the right, after on the left (hope you don't mind me re-posting your pictures)The buoys have been moved to their 2022 positions as shown here on April 8th 2022. They were taken at low water neaps 1.25m min above CD.
I will repeat these at the next spring tide to show more of the knolls and hopefully the bar.

Looking at that pic, if I saw them from seaward I would assume you need to turn hard round the second phb and aim just to port of the shb. Would that land me on that shoal?
The unbuoyed north channel looks interesting and tempting are the fishing boats using it?
