Just a copy of what I said on t'other thread:

This is not the same as some tosser advertising his restaurant or cheap mobile 'phones. Simon is a professional forecaster who provides valuable FREE forecasts and it would be a very poor call indeed if this was banned because he also mentions the other services which he can provide.

I'm only an admin over there but I'm sure I speak for the owner in saying that we would be very happy to have Simon's forecast posted on BlueMoment if it was disallowed here. I'm sure we'd be even happier to have it posted there as well as here!

Think on, Louise. Why not have a word with Kim?

it doesn't say anything about multiple posting in ONE forum. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seems like there are dual standards being operated on these forum. There is Simon who is not allowed to 'sell' the weather forecasts and then there are others who blatantly advertise their trade in the tag line which they appends to every message that is sent.

These hint at everything from marine radios for sale to complete sailing and power boat courses and dare I say it, some even offer their yachts for sale in their tag-line /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

You can't have rules for some just because they have posted more than 3,000 messages or been a forum member since Noah ran his Ark aground due to lack of seamanship and then complain about a newcomer who has only posted three or four times and probably isn't aware of forum etiquette? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Dual-watch is OK but dual standards in my opinion is just plain wrong!

anyways see youse in the ither place - this daft bint hes jest pished me aff and Silki - whit a guid idea - get Simon ontae oor wee forum where he'd be appreciated by all including the moderator.

I am not getting involved in this one (as I am not a moderator) but they would have had their reasons so can I suggest before this implodes that you all wait for Dan to give a structured and measured response to this in the morning.

No need for anyone to leave unless of course you really want to.

Cheers

For a while, Simon's forecasts have been saying it's going to be blowing fish out of the sea. Just for once he says it'll be a decent weekend and the roof falls in.
