Aronow

Don Aronow was indeed the originating force behind Cigarette, as well as Formula, Donzi and Magnum.

He was shot on 3 Feb 1987 in his car on NE188th St Miami aka Thunderbird Row - the same location where he had built all of his boats.

Re: Aronow

<font color=blue>Thanks Kim., blowed if I could remember it. Don Shead's name kept blasting through my mind but I knew it wasn't him either.

and Wynne and Bertram

If you look into Aronow, you also bump into Jim Wynne (of Coronet fame as far as Europeans are concerned); it was Wynne that designed one of Aronow's early raceboats when Aronow was still a property developer as well as one of the early Donzis when Aronow turned to boat construction. You also bump into Dick Bertram, who designed one of the early Formulas.
