Dead Cuttlefish

Is it just me or are there very large numbers of dead cuttlefish this year?

A load last weekend coming in on the tide past Hurst Castle, together with big clumps of weed. Looked the aftermath of some dynamite fishing! Though I know that's not the explanation!!

Hi. All cuttlefish breed then die. You are seeing the aftermath of a cuttlefish orgy! Usually happens about now. Good for the cuttlefish bobe business but not much else!!

Yes, quite normal at this time of year. At leat they all die happy! Have seen them coming ashore in huge quantities at this time of year in the past.
