In memory and in hope that David has not become a victim of the sea and its ferocity I propose an online get together of all those able, to have a dram of your favoured, at 21-00 Hrs (UK) on Saturday 7th April 2007, and subsequently on 23rd September of 2007. It may sound overly sentimental, but if he has gone, we should remember him for what he tried to do and for what he accomplished, and pray that one day he turns up safe and sound. Join in if you can folks, and I'll look forward to saying Cheers to all that do. Anyone else up for it ?.

Good to hear it and I do hope I haven't upset Barabara and the others, I know quite a few will be out enjoying the good weather that's predicted over here, but let's try to make it a night to remember

Of course you haven't upset me! - on the contrary I'm so deeply grateful to you for suggesting this and of course I will be there. I think I'll have to buy of bottle of really GOOD champagne for this toast. I've been keeping lots of friends in the US and the UK informed via email updates, many of whom have never posted here, so I'll let them all know that this is happening. I'm sad that we can't get together in person, but maybe one or two will join me at home so I won't be raising my glass alone.

Love,
Barbara x

I've been keeping a bottle of champagne for his return but perhaps it's time to crack it open. Saturday 21.00 hours it is. Good cheer.

Hi Dave

As Tina has already mentioned, We will be joining you all for that tipple along with the rest of our crew and the crew of of Freedom of Hamble.

A glass held high, and a firm 'Nasdrovier' sounded!

Al & Tina.

Likewise, there'll be the clink of glasses on board with us, and happy thoughts of blue skies and far horizons...

I shall be there too. So Yes, lets have happy thoughts of fair winds, blue skies and far horizons... and living our dreams.
Margaret x

Happy thoughts indeed - count me in, everyone. I might not be online, but thoughts and prayers and all best wishes and hugs.

Love, Susy xxx

I'm very glad to hear that Barbara , and I think you'll find that although a lot of people won't be able to join us because they're on their boats , that doesn't mean they aren't joining us .

There will be some of us landlubbers, friends of Barbara's here in the U.S. who've been pulling for David's safe return and a happy ending to this story, joining you all in a virtual toast.
Annmarie

A virtual toast to David will be honoured at our house - and to Barbara who has been so brave .
