Danboline

Danboline? as in bilge paint??

I'd go with the car upholstery coating, if it's vinyl of course. Otherwise normal good quality gloss, would do nicely, does on my boat.

Depends what the headlining is made from. In my boat it is moulded GRP so Danboline would work perfectly well. On some other materials it will not have good adhesion as Grajan says.
I think you'll find Danboline is just a normal good quality gloss paint - sold in a limited colour range for bilges.

The plasticiser in the headlining will eventually throw it off. Car upholstery coating should work.

I painted a sports car tonneau cover with Humbrol upholstery paint 25 years ago and it's still fine - no hint of peeling off despite being on a flexible substrate. Marvellous stuff!

I'll second the Humbrol option, (if it can still be found), did a triumph Herald drivers seat with it (from blue to red to match the rest of the interior) and it lasted for years...
If you can't find appropriate paint then the vinyl cleaner here is from a well respected brand..

Danboline was a very heavy leaded gloss paint, not the sort of stuff for use in accomodation, but it may now be formulated differently, but the tins still feel as heavy as they used to, mind you I'm older! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Humberol company went broke about six months ago. They were producing Airfix kits in France and for one reason or another it pulled the whole group down.
There is still an old Hawker Hunter in their front yard and it is good to see as you go past, if you are of a Hawker Hunter and Airfix kits era.
