2.Need them for sewing and where they used to grind.
3.Points to six o clock plus a bit like old.
4.Lively friendly type and you might have to go there and back regularly.
5. Likes to talk and sometimes on the bone.
6. There's some mutton in it and you need them to let you in and out.

Great Quiz, which is more than I can say for my attempts to answer, scoring 3 and a half.

Well. That's very nice to hear.

Funny thing when you set the questions, the answers are really easy.

I think that I made about half too hard. Next time will try to do better.

Happy to have another go but if anyone else fancies having a try please do.

It's very difficult. We once set a quiz for our then sailing club. Although the winning tables got around 70% or more, there were many complaints that it was too hard.

We did a Zoom quiz at our current club last night. It was my first effort at Zoom and it was great fun. To me, the interesting questions are not the easy ones but the hard ones, especially if it means learning something.

I'm not usually a big fan of quizzes, but, particularly at the moment, they seem very popular with certain family members.

I did, however, enjoy those little brain teasers: boaty, challenging and with some humour.

Cheers!!

A few more quick ones, I hope - beware, not all on-shore places this time.

Season ‘laid off’ so may not be passing this for a while. (4, 6)

One follows a converted Victorian Cardinal - but it may mean a place that had many (11)

Worried wife extols a good lookout when passing here. (10)

The top ‘Beak’ perhaps? (5, 4)

Popularly, perhaps, the place to take one step up from the snuggest garment? (2, 5)

Singled by fate, confused, he goes aground here. (6, 5)
