If we all set sail at the same time.
How much would out combined weight raise the sea level ?

well, if we each had monster huge boats the size of alaska AND we dry-berthed them, then a simulataneous launch might raise the sea level a fair bit. But seeing as most boats herebaout are in the water already - not at all

Unless you live on your boat all the time, at some point you've got to step from dry land onto the boat, so you would raise it a bit. A very, very small bit.

In fact, if the worlds population all stepped onto boats at the same time, the water level would raise by 2.5 thousanths of a millimeter.

60kg? I am not coming on your boat then - it seems either it wouldnt take either mine or SWMBOs extra tonnage, or we wouldnt get fed properly whilst on board!

And then as the water level rose up the hull, so it would displace a little more and that would make the water level rise, so displacing more water and making......
I mean to say- if I put a lolly stick in a glass of water it could drown us all.
TRhis could be the true reason why tides go up. The ebb must just be a hallucination.
