A label on the helmsman's seat pedestal, fitted to a Crestliner 21' ( we might buy it) which takes up to a 215hp outboard.

"....Do not occupy if speed exceeds 5mph...."

eh?

Label underneath the battery on an icom hand held radio
"Not to be used for emergency or distress situations"
If I ever break down in the path of a large oil tanker I guess I should stand on the deck and shout very loudly then!

Looking for a depth sounder to match the other American made dials on the Crestliner brought this up....

"The depth sounder is not to be used for
navigation or as a device to avoid grounding "
