Cullipool visitor moorings...

£25 per night for a scruffy unmaintained looking mooring. Nothing else offered. What are they on?

We were on one of them that was too fankled to untangle from our boat. Tricky.

Jeez, that’s as expensive as a fully serviced pontoon in a marina!!! That’ll be why we’ve never stopped there and never will!

Far better option is Eilean Dubh Mor (The Black Isles), one of our favorites, or Poll Nan Corran on Lunga. Both on Antares and sound as a pound, with great views.

Totally agree with those alternatives. And the current can make entering Cullipool difficult even if you spot the leading marks or trust Antares leading line on a plotter.

It was £10 the year before last.

They were charging a tenner in 2019 but inflation is rampant since the unmentionable happened.

I found that the leading marks made the entrance easy, and also made the exit straightforward soon after when I found out the cost.
