If you start from Lanzarote and go over the top to La Palma first leg, on the return the only real upwind bit is the east side of Fuertaventura that also offers pit stops at Gran Tarajal and Rosario to break the passage up a bit.
The long awaited marina at Morro Jable in the south looks like going ahead with construction soon too.
