Cruising Association and Robin KJ wade into the Schengen 90/180 day problem.

Well some of us are a little more adventurous than you and have broader horizons.

Well ust maybe so; but I have travelled widely accross Europe, from its Western Borders far into Russia plus thouroughly enjoyed t all , but I did not Cruise them in a Sailboat , just used the convential Liners, Trains, Coaches etc etc; Sailing for me is an enjoyment not a task battling the weather, waves, ports restrictions and rules, reading charts and compasses, cramped bunks on a Boat (of whatever size) for me travelling using good beds made up by others daily, foods prepared and served up, entertainment supplied, drinks bought to ones table; all a far cry from a sailing boat; but then again perhaps if I was a lot younger (again) I just might 'go foreign' in my own Yacht !

Enjoy your 'going foreign' just gota adapt to the 'new' regulations

Each to his own, as they say.

Well I would not knowingly take any action to prevent you doing what gives you pleasure. Why, therefore, are you trying to prevent me doing what gives me pleasure?

Nah will not effect my sailing plans at all; although it just might make my favourite cruising grounds a teeny bit busier, thats if them that would have cruised an EU country decide to Cruise our secret East Coast , that would really irk me , buggering up my well laid plans

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest

Me doing that kind Sir, corr no not me Skip., me in no way attempting to prevent you or anyone else getting your 'pleasure' no no no way

= misunderstood

Just commentating that maybe whats bugging some on ere is not all that its believed at the moment to be , matters and reality will I have no doubt sort it all out ; after all , our BREXIT is but still in its Infancy , there are apparent bits that will require fine tuning and adaptions and wise council as to the ways forward , plus them EU countries will no doubt wish to settle their personal arrangements with our Country in their own way and in their own good way , maybe even using good ole Nelsons ploy of ' seeing no Ships ' etc

Whatever happens with our futures let us all sort it out with good grace and British humour plus togetherness for we are not our enemy

You're not going to pull the the wool over anyone's eyes!

It is not "our" Brexit. Its your Brexit... your baby (with evident learning-difficulties), you own it, its your responsibility.

Yes, we will all make the best of it with pragmatism and humour etc (albeit poorer politically, culturally and materially) but don't you dare ever try to foist it ideologically onto everyone.

As to 'enemies' there weren't any before before you created two sets: UK versus EU, and Brit on Brit.

Thank you kindly, BUT you would appear to not realised that there have indeed been to sets for many many years, those who were happy with the EU membership status quo and those of us that were NOT HAPPY

So a choice was arranged by an election, ie it became to be known as a BREXIT REFERNDUM two choices, either STAY IN or LEAVE ; as in any election one side is declared the winner

Your side apprently lost, maybe not totally recognised or accepted though by some

So what we have apprently now, is still 2 sets, but the major side won this time, so us that have been subjecated now apparently have the upper hand , thank goodness

Maybe you are young enough not to have experienced a life before we were joined to that EU, no matter, you will I am hopefull come to realise in your later years that todays pain was well worth it

Post in thread 'Cruising Association and Robin KJ wade into the Schengen 90/180 day problem.' by Capt Popeye has been reported by doug748. Reason given:
Not just this response but perhaps all of the posts that do not at least try to address the original travel question, could be deleted?
I do think that if this is allowed to carry on every thread will end up with the same people saying the same things on our sailing forum.

Another possibility is shunting anything about travel to the EU, etc, directly into the Brexit sub forum?

Thanks for looking.

What a thoroughly antagonising and patronising post. But I'm guessing that's probably what you intended.

Ultimately, you admit that you have no intention of sailing abroad, and that you are happy on this little island. So, please, perhaps find another thread elsewhere, as you don't seem to be able to get on board with this particular campaign and your comments are therefore unhelpful. Thank you.

*Strange that it's Babylon that you have chosen to report, when the one who has been deliberately antagonistic is Capt Popeye.

*I apologise, I did mean report the Captain's post, as it was the last of this type. Must have pressed the wrong button.

Nor do I understand why this is public. Again, I must have pressed the wrong button? No matter, I don't mind at all and these things are better in the open. I think most people are quite happy with these squabbles in the correct place where they can be ignored and not pointlessly intrude into the essence of the forum.

*PS

Looks like a software problem...............see the the heading to post #167 which clearly indicates Capt Popeye

I am old enough to remember the UK before the EU; Britain was the "sick man of Europe" until it joined the EU and prosperity and we had everything until 2016.

I've been reporting posts in this thread too, 99pc of it needs to go in the lounge IMHO. Nothing wrong with a good old Brexit Squabble, it just shouldn't be here.

Yes, but sadly some things are intrinsically linked, and such subjects tend to be emotive. It can be hard to separate. I know I'm guilty of introducing the B-word sometimes. :( Sorry! :)
