Hi, I am not sure if I chose the correct forum. I’m trying to find out if anyone has heard of med sailing adventures and globe sailors? We would like to sail on a catamaran around Croatia and have found these two charters. Just wondering if anybody is familiar with either one to help us decide which one would be best?

Croatia is the best sailing ground in the Med - by a huge distance over say,Greece, but haven’t heard of those companies.

We were there off-season and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of it. Some great sailing and some amazing bays and anchorages (empty in April). But the Marina fees were eye-watering compared to Italy. Not heard of those charter companies though.

The marinas are full long term, so price matches supply and demand. I got a quote yesterday: “Great news Mr Zing” it said, “You will be delighted we have finally found a berth for you, price: £€£$¥€$.000”. Thanks, but no bloody thanks luv.

It looks to me like the companies you referred to are either charter brokers or are offering cabin spaces rather than bareboat charters directly. Are you looking for bareboat or a skippered trip? Most of the charter companies will have a Cat or two floating around. But it's easy to look for Cats for charter in Croatia on something like Click and Boat.

We chartered from First Class Sailing, through Click and Boat who did have a 40 foot cat on their base, But there were a number of other companies I the Marina with Cats. I can't speak for any experience with other companies but was very happy with the service from First Class Sailing and have had good experiences a number of times booking through Click and Boat.

Depending on your budget and how much luxury you need Ocean Sailing House, Adriatic Sailing and Ultra all have cats in Croatia and provide good service.

The search shows which charter companies the cats are with.

I used boataround to charter in Thailand and we had an issue with an airport transfer being late. The boataround helpdesk were very proactive in getting it sorted out. Holiday was awesome.

Charter company I would recommend in Croatia is Pitter, their boats are well maintained and they are well organised. We have chartered from them in Pula and Zadar.
