I like the sound of that. ANPR simply records the car and debits your account and you can use any lane. :)

I'm going to try and create an account now and see if they will accept UK plates.

OK .... that's now done. Both our mile-munching cars are assigned to the FLEX account and UK number plates are accepted. From now on we just drive through any lane and the charge is made to our Euro credit card automatically.

Just to confirm that Baggywrinkle was right on the money. :)

The FLEX system works brilliantly and at every toll station I was able to see a lane with no-one in it at all, usually the one marked "Self Service" so I just drove straight through and the barrier opened instantly.

It's a pity that the Slovenians and Croatians have not adopted the same system (I don't think?) as when one is driving a right-hand drive car and one is alone, the toll booths are a pain in the backside, although there is only one in Slovenia and two in Croatia, each way.
