We had a wonderful flotilla holiday in Croatia in July this year. We are wondering about going back next year but it will have to be in August, owing to school hols etc.

Can anyone tell us how much more crowded it is likely to be, and whether the weather will be much different?

Incidentally, this was my second flotilla with Sailing Holidays, who were excellent in every way.

Our decision for this August is that such bad month we have not last 10 years, so my proposal is to come here in Croatia in June and you will enjoy.

branko is correct the weather was not so good this august but on the plus side we had no high winds.
and compared to the uk it was great
from what i can gather the weather thoughout the med has not been good this year.
we also sail in august in croatia it is busy especially the further south you go
the north and mid dalmatia doesnt seem that bad although istria can be very busy with italians
noticed less germans there this year maybe it is an economical thing.
may half term is a good time to go as things are just opening up for the season the days are long and the weather this year was excellent.

Been there twice for first week in Sept. Maybe lucky but both times excellent weather, some wind, lots of sun.
This year went to Zadar and headed NW, as far as Losinj and Unije, met no British, most places were busy enough but not crowded unlike last year heading SE . Plan going again next year, same area same time.

Yes, we did the same this year, beginging September out of Zadar. Great time, good weather, could possibly have done with a little bit more wind for sailing. Very few brits. mostly Germans and Italians.
