Hi Guys

I like to say when I have had good service, so a big thumbs up to Spencer at Driveline Marine at Reading.

Following our small "nearly sinking episdode, we went to Reading Saturday morning, as could not get there earlier, boat was ready Wednesday. Spencer had lifted the boat Wednesday morning, having ordered the parts Tuesday morning, job Done Wednesday afternoon.

All done and only an hours labour charge and the lift, at good rates. Thanks Spencer you saved the weekend and the boat lol.

We got back to temple on Saturday evening passing the rally at Henley on the way down, big friendly wave from Ramage on Silver Dragon, saw Boat ones' boat but no sign of him and could not hear any organ music but looked like fun was being had by all.

Sunday we thought we would drop into Marlow for some shopping but not a mooring spot in sight, locks were busy with Bank Holiday boaters, good to see the boats out of the Marina's
The promised sun seemed to have disappeared. So headed into Henley for some shopping (alchohol and food lol) and stopped for a lovely early evening meal @ Chez Gerrard, great food, not too expensive and nice place. Stayed longer than expected and self locked back to Temple in the dark. Great to still see boats following us into the locks so late into the evening.

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend, walk into Hurley for some exercise this morning, wandered along the river and decided to head for home before the mad evening rush tonight and the mass exodus from Reading Festival enroute to our homebase.

Hope all had a good one

Good to hear about good service localy, is Driveline Marine at Scours Lane or Caversham,
I need a lift out soon so be interested to know what they charge?

And at PH too!

Good to hear another hearty experience. We took Ex Libris for our first pump out today, choosing to go to the manned pontoon at Penton Hook. It did not go swimmingly, so to speak. The boat is new to us and we did not know the inner workings of her pipework. To cut a long story short - we do now. What really impressed me was just how willing the chap at PH was to help understand our unusual pipework and get the, er, job done.

I am genuinely impressed - thank you Penton Hook Marina,

Yes, Spencer is good at driveline, would recomend them 100% as well. They are at Scours Lane, not sure of prices but they are sensibly priced for most things.

Also nice to have someone reliable at the reading end and Kris Cruisers at the windsor end and simon Bull in the middle lol (Mr Mechanically inept needs all the help he can get :-) btw it was Simon Bull who was kind enough to recommend Spencer as trustworthy, even though it did him out of some work, a drinks voucher on its way to him I think
