Bit breezy hereabouts today.
Watched 2 crash landings today, lucky the pontoon bends a bit really.

Still, any landing you can walk away from.......

Been one or two squeaky bummed skippers hereabouts as well. But lots of spectators :) to help out.
Had a lazy cleaning day on the pontoon instead of a sail and just popped round to the wet dock to watch the fireworks.

That wasn't a crash.. It was a controlled approach... albeit we did touch rather forecebly...

Mind you I must admit that it takes balls to land in a tail wind...

I was shaping up for one of those arrivals on Friday but SWMBO did a great job of stretching out with our 7' boat hook and grabbed the spring line off the pontoon....bless 'er.

We've just heard from friends who had to do a forced landing in Ramsgate. They were just entering the alley on a windy day when they found a Dutchman swimming across their path. I believe the result was a bent stanchion and contact with a couple of boats, though I don't know the full details. I think the swimmer got a right telling-off from the HM.
