Matrix, Lord of the Rings and Celine Dion

Yes, all 3 are connected. Bit of a long story but this conspiracy theory seems very plausible.... some funny pics too!

It is a waste of time and it annoys the pig.

Must say, I'm a bit peeved about the M.G."B." but would happily substitute it in the list with the Hillman Avenger - my all-time worst motor car.
Not many happy memories of a Kingfisher 20 either - but that may be more to do with whom I sailed it.

Re: Germans with wind problems

Good one boatless - i spun my rover 105 S at Hyde Park Corner. quite exciting and thankfully no damage or police. Once got it up to 96 going UP Park lane too - ah those heady days of youth . . .
Not like the younger generation - thoroughly iresponsible I say !

Re: Just stumbled upon this great ad

Uhha! I want the estate version of the new Rover V8. Currently drive an MG"B" and a BMW 525 touring. The Beema's a good reliable car but, how should one put it?, a tad to Hunnish for my liking.
Now, if I could find a decent Spyker . . .

Re: Just stumbled upon this great ad

I see on another thread that you are having a 1950 Oselli engine put in the B.

Are you doing the full Stage 2 conversion. I went down this road many years ago, certainly makes the B a bit more pokey. I think you'll notice the difference.

Nice to see somebody else enjoys the B as well. I had two , one of which I kept for 14 years often as a second car but sometimes as my daily transport. Would have kept it but found I wasn't using much after a little person came into my life and my garage got filled up with junk with no room for a car !

Re: Just stumbled upon this great ad

Yep - stage two, electronic distributor and various other gismos. Can't wait; it sounds absolutely splendid and if the fixings for the K&N filters arrive in tomorrow's post I may even get to drive her on Sunday.
I'll let you know how she progresses.

All I've got to do is get the boat back in the water (hull, rigging and new genoa + odds & sods) and sail her round from West Mersea to the Beaulieu River. Hoping for a gentle November . . .
