CR123 and CR123A batteries

Anyone know if there's a difference? (apart from the spelling!)

The CR123A battery operates at 3V and its most common capacity is 1300mAh.

The CR123A battery is also known as a CR123, DL123A, ELCR123APK123LA, CR123R and CR17345.


As far as I can see, the dimensions and internal chemistry are the same.
