as a potential boat resident on the east side of the Medina it really bothers me little as by car it is just a bit longer to drive round and as a pedestrian a simple row boat ferry would do, even my own boat or tender. Neither side has attraction big enough to want instant hopping over. If work were the real issue I would choose to live where the work is, probably on the mainland which can be reached by a ferry to/from either side can it not or has that changed in my foray overseas.. Back to blue sky thought. a pedestrian tunnel would be simple and cheap, a helicopter a tourist attraction. A high level pedestrian bridge another with elevators either side and walkway between. Think of the views.
