Covid19 question - Levington

I just arranged to buy something from a chap with his boat at SYH and we arranged that I would drive over on Saturday, meet him at his boat which is ashore there and pick it up from him - socially distanced of course.

I suspect this was not a good plan?

Might be good plan or not, certainly illegal under the Covid Regulation.

Hopefully, it’s not too far - distance to the chaps boat - arrive a short distance away and jog, very slowly up to his boat, where he has helpfully identified to you the location of your said purchase. Collect as you slowly jog by and carry on with your exercise back to your means of returning home! Sort payment via other means.

From what I understand Levington are only allowing tradesmen on site and they have to evidence who they are working for and that they are being paid!

I have no knowledge on this point. Not wishing to get into a tedious covid rules debate, but I think a little bit of common sense can be applied.

I'm not an off licence but I did drop a bottle of wine around to a friend who needed a bit of cheering up.

Where did you hear that? Certainly not the case when I went there a couple of weeks ago - at the weekend.

Purely in passing conversation with a chap I am talking with about getting some work done on my boat! Couldn't say if it was gospel as we are in Brightlingsea and haven't been anywhere near Levington for "quite a long time"!!!

The grey Disco and the white Mondeo parked next to each other in a field entrance on the SYH approach road at 10 this morning were not dealing drugs. ? Shiny bits of boat jewellery with the name “Harken” on them are so much more addictive!
