Cover Styl

We are in the process of recovering our ceiling panels and wall coverings in this:-

The old coverings have foam backing that has gone to powder, leaving the old fabric all floppy.

The above alternative is thick enough to fit without any foam and looks great.
We've already done the lower deck companionway but all the cabins will be done next.

I have a local contractor doing the work so I don't know any distributors.
However, I would be interested if someone knows of a distributor.

The local contractor is doing a great job - mainly removing the old and sticking the new directly to the old walls.
But some of our panels are removable so they are recovering the panels after removing the old fabric.
I usually take photos but I forgot when I was on the boat last week.

Thanks Hurricane I’ve emailed them to see if there’s a distributor will let you know when they reply . It looks ideal for my situation too , thanks

It comes in a 30m long roll (1200mm wide - I think).
I'm paying about 800 euros for a roll but there might be something in that price for my contractor.
A few years ago, I paid about £1000 for a roll on the original fabric with foam on the back.
My contractor has replace most of my main deck fabric using that original foam backed roll.
Having seen the work that they have done on my companionway, I think I missed a trick and should have used this Morbern fabric for the main deck as well.
I think I missed a trick because without the foam back, I think the Morbern fabric will last longer.

I've got a security camera inside that I can control so tomorrow in daylight, I will swing it round and see if I can get a photo of the work that my contractor has done in the companionway. It might be too dark because I left some screen covers on that will obscure some of the daylight. But I will try and get something to show you.

Thanks looks great . I’ve been looking at ideas for lining . My yachts in Spain so will speak with them out there when I go in a couple of weeks , this could be ideal because like you I didn’t really want foam backed again

This is the view from my internal camera this morning.
Not the best photo/example - as I say, the covers are on the windows so it is a bit dark in there at the moment.
And it is much nicer when you are actually next to it - smooth to touch etc.

You have probably realised that our boat is in Spain - Sant Carles de la Rapita.
The contractor is based near Tortosa and works in our marina on a daily basis.
After they had done the companionway, I have since asked them to do the rest of the lower deck (3 cabins).
To do that, they needed to buy some more fabric - a full roll should do it.
That was last week - apparently the colour that I selected is out of stock for 2 weeks but is on order.
What part of Spain is your boat located?
